My little horse

Elks fighting. I found this on my walk near my hotel. It is in the drive up at the Antlers Hotel I think.

This was the entrance to the Arrabelle where we stayed at.

The bathroom. when i opened up the doors i said to chad "Can we have one of these?"

i LOVED the tube

The king size bed. It was comfy!

The fireplace, which was nice.

The crib Cameron and I disliked...see how far I had to put him? Are you kidding me??

Cameron asleep in his BOB stroller after one of our walks! LOVE IT!!

My men.. can you say look alikes?

Love the same expression!

Upside Down Cameron with a smile!

Happy Cam!!
Don't let the last picutre fool you.. he wasn't that happy at night but great during the day!

Back at Home

The rest of the weekend at Vail was nice. Cameron slept better the second night but the third night.. well.. he slept in the middle of the king bed between Chad and I. ::hangs head:: yes.. Cam did. He was stuffed up and just so unhappy and I wanted to get sleep.. so.. yeah. But don't worry.. that doesn't happen at home! While Chad finished his last day of boarding with the childrens group, Cam and I walked around the town a bit. I got bored doing that because.. well.. when you have no money going into shops.. no that fun. So we walked near the river. And when Cam was asleep, we would hang out in the lobby and I read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. :) Yes, I'm starting the series over.. and it is taking  a LONG time. Good news: Chad PASSED!! He's whole group did, which doesn't happen often. So happy for him! This means a dollar raise next season and Breck will reimburish (spelling?) us too since he passed. YAY!! Anyways, it was a nice little get away but next time we do something like that we might leave Cam behind with Grandma and Grandpa Corder so I can go boarding. My goal for next season: go snowboarding! Now that it is the end of the season.. i'm sad :( but maybe I can workout this summer and get in shape for next season. Cause I really do enjoy it and want to do it and get better. so I just need to get out on the snow!
Other news. Cameron is now four months and three days old today! He went to the doctor to get more shots (only two instead of three), which he didn't like. He weighs 16 lbs and 7 oz! My little chunky man!! He is in the 75% of his weight and height. Such a cute boy.. we love him dearly. Chad is having surgery at 8am this Friday so he will have plenty of time with Cam these upcoming weeks. Cam really needs Daddy time as well as Daddy. Chad read Little Critter books to him today, it was cute! So life is good.. can't truly complain.

Weekend at Vail Resort

Chad, Cam, and I are at Vail this weekend. It is a nice little get away for the three of us. Chad is taking a children's creditation course to learn how to teach children how to snowboard. He is a little nervous since it is a LOT of information but even if he doesn't pass it he says that the information he has learned will help with Cameron in all aspects of life. :) That in itself is worth it. So we are staying at the Arrabelle...talk about wow! It's a five star hotel and it is just nice. Chad's parents came to stay our first night (thursday) so Dad could go skiing at Vail in the morning. Poor Cam.. he had no idea what was going on. He was in a different location, different crib, and in the same room as us! Needless to say that first night was HARD for me. I put Cam down like I normally do but he was up just so much.. The crib matteress is all the way on the bottom of the crib whereas our crib I don't have to reach that far to put him down. So every time I went to lay him down for bed (he would start asleep in my arms) he would wake up half way down into the crib. AH! It was frustrating since I was trying to make sure Cam wouldn't keep everyone up. Yeah, I was exhausted the next morning as was Cam. The only reason I got a nap, as well as Cam, was Chad's mom. She took him and rocked him to sleep and just held him so he would stay asleep. When I woke up an hour and half later, give or take, I was still exhausted but oh well. It felt great to have a nap! I haven't been that tired since I had him! But anyways...after Chad got back to the room, we went out walking and looking at stores. Cam fell asleep so quickly in the BOB stroller!! Thanks to the bricks which give a little vibrations like our dirt roads. Last night we ate at a nice resturant where we spent a little too much on food but it was good! Cam did great!! He even charmed a couple whose table was near ours and we got to talking. Cam didn't talk much or anything like that while we were there. But once that lady started talking to him, oh my goodness! Cam was just making all sorts of noise and talking to her. It was SO cute! I don't think he has ever talked like that for strangers. :) It might have helped that the lady might have reminded him of his grandma corder. Cam did pretty well with sleeping last night. Since it was just Chad and I, when I put him in the crib for bed after his feeding, Cam was asleep for a little bit and then just woke up and started to cry. So we just let him cry and he finally put himself to sleep. He woke up two times in the night which wasn't that fun for me or Chad, but oh well. That can be normal for him even when we are at home. So Chad is back on the mountain this morning while Cam and I are in the hotel room. and I am FINALLY getting to write here. I'm excited that we are here but will be ready to get back home tomorrow. On another note: Chad is having surgery next Friday for his hernia (spelling?) and the doctor said SIX weeks of no heavy lifting (anything over twenty pounds! which Cam is like 16, give or take). So now we are trying to figure out what Heavenly Father wants us to do. and we are just praying that our family doctor will say something else instead of six weeks so the gold mine will give chad the job again. all we can do is pray and that is what we are going to do! :) Anyways, love from Vail Colorado!!

A Much Needed Update!!

Oh my goodness! Can you say that I abandoned my blog for a while? :) Yes, Cam has taken up time and then Chad had the laptop at Alma.. and yeah.. no real excuses. So.. the much needed UPDATE on the Corder Family.
At the end of Janurary-early Feburary, Rachael Robison came to visit Cam and I. It was SO wonderful to have her here! And I am going to try to go visit her sometime in Utah when her little boy is born, which I am so excited for her and Mark! :) Chad has been working at Breck and lovin' it! Breck has gotten a bunch of snow which always makes it fun for him. He has started to dislike being away from home since Cam is becoming more active and "talking" a lot. One day with my in-laws, Cam and I went to Breck to visit his daddy while "Grandpa" Corder and I went snowboarding/skiing. Sadly, I only made one run cause my legs are NOT in shape for it, but I did really well until it came towards the bottom where it is a little steeper.. but oh well. I was proud of myself! woot!
Cam is now three months and 14 days old! I don't know where the time has gone! He is about 15 pounds and 24-24 1/2 inches long! Talk about a big baby! But he is just SO cute! ( Yes, I am biased) Some of the things he likes to do now is: chewing on his hands/fingers, espeically the index fingers!, he LOVES to sit up with the help of anyone. He is a giggling/smiling little man which makes him so cute, even in the early morning when I get him up for his first morning feeding! And it makes it more tolerable when I am so tired. He is now "oo"ing which is awesome! Sadly, he is still eating like every two hours during the day! So I don't know if I am teaching him this or if it will pass soon.. cause I don't mind it during the day but it does get old! At night, I only have to mess with him either one or two times. He does really well! Which, he is now in his room!! ( and yes, all those stuffed animals are in boxes under the crib now!) Our friends at church told us about this monitor that senses movement and will alert you if it no longer senses movement: it is called Angelcare. And we LOVE it! Thanks to the Lees! So he has been in his room since he turned three months.. and we don't worry about him at night now. One of the best things we have bought! Now on the list to get is: future car seat (we have picked one we liked) and a stroller! I really want the stroller that way we can go outside!! I'm sick of being really lazy.. and Chad's mom and I are going to try to go to the clubhouse to work out at least three times a week. That is my goal: I want my tummy slimer!
Other news: my sister-in-law, her hubby, and daughter are moving to Colorado. They should be here in about two hours I hope. lol. She will be running a motel in Cripple Creek. So it will be nice to have family near by.
Other great and exciting news is this: We will be here for the summer!! YAY!!! Thank you Heavenly Father for answering our prayers! Chad got a job offer from the Gold Mine!! So as long as he passes the physical, drug test, and background check: he starts work on the 11th! YES! The hours are not going to be fun: they are 12 hour shifts, which he will be switching days and nights, but he will get a week off every now and then...which means ::drum roll please:: that we can go to Ohio/Indiana!! YAY! Can you see me dancing around the room? :) We are super excited and just can't wait for it to start.
So we are doing well and Cam is just growing! Here are some pictures and hopefully videos that I have taken of him. i love my little man! and his daddy too! ;)

Waiting for next week

I am so excited for next week! One of my best friends is coming out to Colorado to stay with us for about a week! We are going to show her our little "town" of Cripple Creek (needless to say that it is mostly full of casinos): maybe take here for our 50 cent breakfast at one casino, go to a free visitor center, show her the working gold mine, and then go to Breckenridge for their snow sculpture event. I am SO excited! You may ask.. what am I doing this week? I am mostly staying at home.. like normal. :) Tuesday was my doctor's appointment which I went by myself since Chad had to go to work for the week. It was good, and everyone thought Cam was cute :) which I must say that He is! He slept for the whole time and didn't eat and wake up till we went to the library. I made the most of being out of the house yesterday. I went to walmart to get a few items after my appointment then to the library to find some movies to watch while i feed Cam at night (to make sure I don't fall asleep!).
Cam is doing well.. he is currently sleeping in my arms as I type this. Spoiled! He has been only sleeping for a little while then waking up to eat every two hours to eat.. which means I don't get my usual nap. Oh the joys of motherhood :) which I do love being a mom.. but i miss my sleep. hopefully one day it will come back...right? anyways, life is good. we are all safe and doing well.. what else really matters?
I'm so excited and ready for next week!!

One Month and a Week

I have been meaning to update this blog, espeically since Cameron has joined the family. I have had time to do this but sadly the internet wasn't working well enough to do it and then I didn't have the laptop. So here is a recall of what life has been like and how we are doing for the past month and week.
It was wonderful to have my mom here for Christmas and to help with having Cam at home. Christmas was great! Cam made out like a bandit! He got bunch of toys: train set, stuffed animal, books, christmas ordinments, and a pack and play. He looked so cute in his Santa outfit from Grandma Corder! :) Chad got a snowboard that he has been riding from one of the guys at Breck. He loved it so I said yes as a gift. he also got a Wii game, which he has only played once! :) He and cam gave me a few things for nursing that I needed. And I am now a proud owner of a pistol! I love it! and can't wait to shoot it. needless to say I was a little surprised but I should have known better with opening ammo first. It was a great christmas!

We had him blessed the day after Christmas since my mom was out here. Chad's parents left after that to go visit family in Indiana. My mom made Cam's blessing outfit, my grandma darrah (so great-grandma to Cam) made the blanket, and chad's mom made the shoes he wore. so cute!

Cameron has done wonderfully at night since we have been home! He wakes up to feed a few times then gets changed and goes right back to sleep. he is so a good baby! I just pray that this trend continues as he grows. Speaking of growing.. he has done that! At his two week appointment, Cam weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. the doctor was not worried about his weight gain so we go to see him again at two months. At one month Cam weighed 9 lbs 12 oz. So he is probably 10 lbs now! I can't believe how big he is getting.
I have to say that I am enjoying motherhood.. granted i miss sleeping through the whole night, but i wouldn't trade my little man for anything! He has been a joy to both Chad and I. It will be a lot more fun to see his personality as he grows.. So there is our update! we are all doing just fine!
Here are a few pictures from the hosptial and coming home:
Here we are leaving the hosptial!
Cam's first night in his cradle!  I love the train quilt my mom made him

chrismas morning: chad hung Cam in his hosptial stocking on the mantel.. look what Santa left us!

Cam sleeping peacefully: we put Kayla's blanket as a padding in his carseat...he is just so cute!

We love our little man!
