Time is Short

So on saturday I will be 36 weeks pregnant, which means that I will only have FOUR weeks left (unless Cam comes early). Can I say... nervous? And yes, I am having that realization (even though I already knew) of how Cam is going to come out and so not ready for it...But at the same time, I'm ready to be able to turn and move like I used to.
An update about the Corder family:
-Chad has started working again at Breckenridge and is just loving the snow. And he told his supervisors that he is on call with me and could leave suddenly :) He is getting excited to meet and know his little boy, which is just so cute! Other than that, he got a new calling in Church and is nervous/excited about it and I know he will be great in it!
-Diana: needless to say that I am just getting bigger and a little more uncomfortable, even though people don't think I am very big with how far along I am. Sleeping at night is getting interrupted due to just my mind waking up and not shutting off! I am still working on Cam's room: most things are put together and ready but still waiting for the dresser so I can put the drawers (sorry, not so good at spelling) away. Still packing the hospital bag for the three of us. and Yes I am having it ready just in case! who knows when or what will happen.
-Cam is realizing he doesn't have as much room, so he loves to push out with his backside and feet! I got another glimpse of him last week, he looks so cute! He is healthy as can be with a HUGE head! Needless to say, I was about 34 and 1/2 weeks, and his head is measuring at about 37-38 weeks. I looked over at my mother-inlaw (since Chad was working) and asked if Chad had a big head, her answer: Yes. Oh fun times for me! The new 4d ultrasound picture makes him look just like his daddy! And it also looks like he has a head of hair, which is what I dreamt about.
-Lago, Burton, and Terje are just loving life with their siblings and getting out to play. Needless to say that they love the laundry room since that is where the dog's food is kept. They are just great ferrets! Burton is losing more of her gray tail: it's going more white which is a little sad for us.
-Sam, Gladiator, and Jean are doing really well! I have the door shut for the spare room (now Cam's) which they didn't understand at first. But they are adjusting well and are only allowed in there if I am in there. Jean, my spooky cat, has been coming down stairs willing! I thought I was going to have to be cruel and shut him out of upstairs for a few times during the day. Nope, he is surprising me. So I am hoping that the cats will be alright when Cam comes home.
Side note: we took a tour last week of the hospital and birth center, and I have to say that it looks nice and I am excited (and scared). Also, the passat which is a standard will never again be driven and dropped off with the valet service. Needless to say that the clutch was hot and smelled for the whole ride home! but other than that, we like the hospital.
We are all doing really well and are just counting down the days for when our little Cam will arrive! I am hoping he will come when my mom is here but I just hope and pray all goes well whenever he does arrive :) Look for further postings... since I only seem to do this once a month.
Happy Thanksgiving!

9 weeks to go...

So today I am officialy 31 weeks today :) Sadly, we have been neglecting of taking pictures of my "belly" each sunday. I will tomorrow though! We have been home since Sunday night, since last week we only were home for two days then on the road again but to Utah this time. I really enjoyed Utah! It was so much fun being with Rachael and Mark besides doing things with Platinum. But I have to say, it's been nice to be home. I have to say that the Lord is truly blessing us with having our boy now. Chad put up the crib that his mother had bought for him when he was 16 to use for "future" children. It is so cute! I will have to take pictures once everything is set up in Cam's room (currently it is storing summer items until i can figure out where to put the stuff!). The Kolste family is amazing! My big sister let me borrow a bunch of baby boy clothes up to a certain month size which is just AWESOME! My father-in-law worked for this small railroad tour this past summer which I got to meet his boss and the wife. My mother-in-law mentioned us looking at crib matteresses and she said that she had one that hasn't been used! And that I could have it! :) Wow, never met the woman until yesterday and I might be getting a crib matteress, swing, and bouncy chair. People are amazing! I am so grateful for the Lord's blessing and the goodness of people's hearts. I must say, Cam is very loved even though he isn't out yet :) Next week I get to meet our new doctor and hopefully the one who will deliever Cam into this world. I have to say that I am getting nervous. One morning I looked at Chad and said "we only have 9 weeks left" and he said "isnt' it awesome?!" and I'm like "it's crazy!" :) I love my hubby, he is so excited to get to know his little boy. I have to say the new Brad Paisley song "If he's anything like me" fits so well for Chad and Cam... :) This should be interesting to see just how much he will be like his daddy. Who knows, I might have white/gray hairs soon. anywho, everything is going well with us; just loving being back home! Until next time.. hopefully I will post pictures, who knows!

Gratitude and Kicking

Again, not much is going on down here in Texas. Both working and getting excited about going back home to Colorado! I am really looking forward to going back home in a few weeks, but so sad to leave Texas because I won't be able to see Ariel and her kids every night. :(
I have a "to do list" of things I need to get done before we go back home... I have to say that I still haven't decided on a doctor for back home. I have two great recommendations, but I just don't know yet which doctor would be best for us and baby Cam. I know that we will figure it out, just frustrating.
I have to express my gratitude to the Lord for blessing Chad and I with wonderful friends and family who are here to help us in so many ways. The past week and a half has been stressful in different areas but we are doing good now! :) It is just amazing to see what the Lord does for us and hears our prayers and how He answers them. I'm not as stressed, which is good for me and baby. Just never doubt that the Lord is listening to you and trust in Him. It's just awesome :)
Speaking of baby, he is doing great. getting big and kicking! I have to say that I do like being pregnant in some ways. It is strange still to see my tummy move because of someone else other than me! And I still think "it's so weird!" but i love it at the same time. I just love watching my stomach move and feel him kick. It is really wonderful to just feel him kick and i know that he is doing okay. I'm almost 27 weeks which means my second trimester is coming to an end and that I will be in my third in our travels back home. That should be fun! Just have to say that... a few more weeks... :) Home to Colorado

Baby Boy!

So this is way late! But Chad and I are expecting a BOY! :) I have to say that we were a little surprised at the 20 week ultrasound just because a lot of people were saying girl. I should have known better though considering I had a dream of a boy last fall. We are so excited! Pregnancy is going really well still. And yes, we are still in Houston Texas! Chad got a spot for the extended season so we are staying to early October-ish. More heat, yay! I'm still working as inventory manager right now and hopefully for the extended as well. The summer has been really fun! It's been great being with the Kolste family again. Not much else is going on. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures of our little man! :)

Jobs, Heat, and Baby

So my job went by quickly with the census. Chad finished at Breckenridge. It was wonderful to have him home again. Then we had to pack for the summer job: we were originally going to Atlanta GA but the week before we had to leave, that office combined with the Houston Texas office! So we are currently in houston Tx. And yes, I am trying to stay cool while chad works in the heat, as well as the other techs! poor guys! And I get to hang out with my big sister Ariel and her kids most of the time. And I am just loving it! :) We have missed being with Ariel, Darrick and their kids. So it's really fun.
Besides Chad working, I am now working as the other inventory manager. i deal with the equipment for the technicians. I like it but just have to be careful with what i lift.
For those who haven't heard, Chad and I are expecting our first kid this December. My duedate is Christmas Day! But we will see what happens because when my mom had my brother and me, we were both two-three weeks early. so maybe...just maybe we will have an early december baby. My mom is planning on flying out. I am so excited! I am starting to show a little bit but not too bad. I am now ten weeks today...and it's only the beginning! I have only gotten sick a little bit... every now and then. The ferret cage really bothers me! Chad has been amazing! He has helped with me that, which it so wonderful for me! :)
Other than that, not too much is going on. We are just enjoying work and keeping busy. It's been fun to read about pregnancies and just to expect our own. :) We are happy and both really excited!
Anyways, That's how the Corder Family is doing down in Texas with the jobs, heat, and little baby Corder growing.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

Recently we got about 9 inches of snow, but sadly it was gone the next day due to the sun melting it away. I wish we had more to just enjoy the beauty of it. It was so pretty sunday night and monday just watching it. Chad and Chet snowboarded in the backyard with all the fresh powder. I tried it, and failed. I so like compacted snow and huge runs. :) When Chad went back to work, he said that Breck didn't get as much snow as we did at home. It was so wonderful to have Chad back home for about five days. i have so missed having him around the house and curling up to him at night. But I'm glag he is enjoying himself at the resort. Not much is really new with us.
A few weekends ago, we all went to Breck to see the snow sculptures. Talk about amazing! I have pictures posted on facebook if anyone wants to see. But it was awesome what the artists did with chainsaws and whatever other tools. This coming weekend, our little town is hosting ice sculptures for the rest of the month. It is an "under the sea" theme. We are all planning to got walk around the town as the artists work with the ice to create stuff and then to see the final artwork. More pictures to come to that too.
That is really it, nothing else too exciting going on right now. A few fun adventures are coming up: lead tech retreat in Utah besides visiting some friends i hope; another baby for one of my best friends; working for the Census; and leaving for the summer job.

Home on the Range

Welome to Colorado!
It is amazing how seeing that sign means so much! Chad and I feel like that Colorado is finally home, not a vacation that isn't ending. The trip back home went fine. Chet followed us back or actually led the way in his green explorer. I drove a little bit in Kansas along I-70 and I have to say: I don't care for the wind!
The in-laws and I got home about Wednesday night which Chad came back from Breck. It was so wonderful to be with him! :) Then I found out that I needed to house/pet sit for someone on Friday night! Sadly, I wasn't home long but it was nice. It has been wonderful too since Chad came home for a few days which he spent with me at the house. He will be working for a week but hopefully I'll be able to go to Breck to go snowboarding and maybe my father-in-law can go ski. :) Chad has roommates at Breck, which he is enjoying and it is a place to sleep.
I filled out an application and took a test tonight for the 2010 Census. Maybe I might get hired before the summer job hits. I shall see what happens. A few things that are interesting of late is that Burton has escaped the living room twice while we have been gone. She was found behind the washing machine! Crazy little girl! We are all just glad she didn't try to escape from the dryer, which my brother's ferret (Bob) did when I was younger. It just shocks me that my little monkey (Lago) hasn't tried to escape. I miss those little critters. It is amazing how you get attached to them.
Life is going well for Chad and I. Nothing new yet. I might be getting a job here shortly to bring in some money while Chad is loving his job at Breck. I mean, he's outside, teaching what he loves, and constantly on the snow! Why wouldn't he be happy? Hope everyone is doing well and miss everyone that we saw in Ohio! Can't wait to come back sometime. I'm hoping our summer office might be close to Ohio so I can see family and friends again.
Love from the family in the West to those family members in the East!
